Born Latoya Eve Henderson, as an army brat on the island & capital city of Honolulu, Hawaii, along side her sister Shavonne Henderson; She was destined for greatness. Beforehand, her eldest brother, Marcus Henderson was born in Augusta, Georgia, whom of course was down to ride. Continuing on to El Paso, Texas, before she even had the chance to remember, she began new memories including her little brother Isaac Henderson being born; whom she at first envied as the new youngest, but later on in time began to use as her muse: dressing him, buying him things, feeling as though he had the perfect swag to 'Teach 'em how to Dougie'. After Texas, they went to Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey where Latoya started Kindergarten at Navesink Elementary School a year later.
As life went on, her mother met her stepfather, whom helped raised them along with three others. They then moved to Neptune, New Jersey, to start anew. In the midst of it all, a new baby was on the way (her brother Eric Rice Jr.). Latoya went on to attend Maranatha Christian Academy for fourth and fifth grade, followed by Neptune Middle School, and she graduated from Neptune High School. By the way, during that time, her sister Shavonne conceived a little butterball of swag: Jacyr Kennedy, whom is known to her as Boohbah & vice versa.
Latoya had no clue what she wanted to do after graduating, so as brochures came in the mail her parents suggested that they take a trip to Pennsylvania to check out The Art Institute of Philadelphia. She could draw. Going in, Latoya thought she wanted to do animation and create cartoons until the Admission Advisor informed her that it required repetitive drawing of the same thing over & over. She said, "Ehh". He then asked if she liked to sew. She loved it. (Her Life Skills teacher called her a perfectionist and Latoya had even sewn her friend's work in class along with her own [apparently guys hate sewing]). Thereafter, he became her boyfriend and was said to have saved her half his sandwich everyday in lunch period. Anyway, the Admissions Advisor then went on to explain that one student took off from school to design for the Grammy's! Latoya was in. She then attended & graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia with a degree in Fashion Design. She lived there for three years after & here she is now in New York City!
Latoya did not originally decide to design accessories. However, she knew they were the "perk" to any outfit. As she was planning a photoshoot to promote her collection of altered garments, she realized she needed accessories. Considering her budget, she had bought some & decided to look around her room & create others. Once the photoshoot was all said & done, her best friend, whom she met at a fashion show she modeled for in Philadelphia, said, "So I think your accessory line should be called...". & here you have it. The other line was named by her friend in Philly who looked at her & said, "Your clothing line would be called... etiquette". (He spelled it out different ways). It will soon grow into a clothing line.
"I'm the girl that will make you hate your hair because mine looks better. I'm the girl that will make you hate your jeans because mine fit better. I'm the girl that will make you hate your clothes because mine ARE better." (But don't; you can do it too.) {Been copied by the best.}

P.S. I'd like to thank my very own angel, here on earth, Sharon Louise Henderson-Rice. It's pretty obvious why. I love you mom!
